چکیده
In this paper, we propose and validate a multiscale model for the description of particle diffusion in presence trapping boundaries. We start from drift-diffusion equation which drift term describes effect bubble traps is modeled by short-range potential with an attractive repulsive core. The interaction particles attracted surface simulated Lennard–Jones that simplifies capture due to hydrophobic properties ions. our model, replaced suitable boundary condition derived mass conservation asymptotic analysis. assumed have range small size . An expansion considered, conditions are obtained retaining lowest-order terms expansion. Another aspect investigate saturation coming high concentrations proximity surface. validity carefully checked several tests one two dimensions different geometries.

Modeling the sorption kinetics of divalent metal ions to hematite.
The sorption kinetics of the divalent metals Zn, Co, Ni, and Cd to hematite were studied in single sorbate systems with high sorbate/sorbent ratios (from 1.67 to 3.33mol sorbate/mol sorption sites) in 10mM Na-piperazine N,N'-bis 2-ethane sulfonic acid (Na-PIPES) solution at pH 6.8. The experimental data showed a rapid initial sorption (half-time about 1min) followed by slower sorption that cont...
متن کاملMultiscale Modeling of Chemical Kinetics via the Master Equation
We present numerical methods for both the direct solution and simulation of the chemical master equation (CME), and, compared to popular methods in current use, such as the Gillespie stochastic simulation algorithm (SSA) and τ -Leap approximations, this new approach has the advantage of being able to detect when the system has settled down to equilibrium. This improved performance is due to the...
متن کاملMultiscale Estimation of Cell Kinetics
We introduce a methodology based on the Luria-Delbruck fluctuation model for estimating the cell kinetics of clonally expanding populations. In particular, this approach allows estimation of the net cell proliferation rate, the extinction coefficient and the initial (viable) population size. We present a systematic approach based on spatial partitioning, which captures the local fluctuations of...

متن کاملHygroscopic Moisture Sorption Kinetics Modeling of Corn Stover and Its Fractions
Corn stover, a major crop‐based lignocellulosic biomass feedstock, is required to be at an optimum moisture content for efficient bioconversion processes. Environmental conditions surrounding corn stover, as in storage facilities, affect its moisture due to hygroscopic sorption or desorption. The measurement and modeling of sorption characteristics of corn stover and its leaf, husk, and stalk f...
